Step 1: Wash hands with soap for at least 20 seconds.

Step 2: Before each use, inspect the respirator to ensure all parts are intact and in good operating condition, including the two headbands, attachment points, nose foam, and nose clip. When donning the respirator, never touch the side towards the mouth. Take respirator from package by the straps.

Step 3: Place respirator in left hand with the exposed side down with the nose bridge facing away. Your hand should be through the straps

Step 4: Raise the mask to face and hold it in place. First, pull lower strap overhead until it’s at the base of the skull, then pull the upper strap to the crown of the head.

Step 5: Create a seal around your nose by using both hands to mold the malleable metal nose clip to fit snugly against the nose, bridge, face, and below the eyes. Perform a user seal check by covering the middle panel with one or both hands (without disturbing the position of the respirator) before exhaling sharply. If air leaks around the nose, adjust the nose clip as described in Step 4. If air leaks around the respirator edges, readjust the panels and straps. If you have to take the respirator off, ensure that you do not touch the breathing side and it’s stored in a clean place.

Step 6: Storage — All respirators should be stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals, and they shall be packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve if equipped.
