AlcoTec Almigweld aluminium MIG welding wire of 3/64 inch diameter is made of 5356 alloy. Wire with 1060 to 1175°F melting range is classified as a general-purpose type filler alloy. Wire made with a patented process has optimized feeding characteristics. Wire is used in a wide variety of industrial applications as it has moderate high strength capabilities. It obtains white color when anodized and is associated with ER5356 class of wire. Wire diameter is controlled to 1/10 of the AWS A5.10 specification. Nail wire is susceptible to stress corrosion cracking when the weld pool chemistry is greater than 3% Mg or exposed to prolonged temperatures above 150°F. Welding filler wire with 0.096 lb/cu.in density comes in spool of 20 lb. It meets ANSI/AWS A5.10 (ER and R) standards.
