HOBART® Excel-Arc™ Gas Shielded Flux Core Carbon Steel Tubular Welding Wire of 0.045 inch Diameter is ideal for mild and low alloy steel applications. Fast-freezing, rutile-type, flux-cored wire with all position wire for both CO2 and mixed gas provides excellent slag removal and withstands cracking in severe applications. Wire with minimum 70000 - 95000 psi strength and 58000 psi yield strength is able to bridge poor fit-up without burn-through and enhances productivity while minimizing part rework/rejection. Wire improves the welder appeal/productivity, features low fumes/spatter and has good impact toughness. It features improved out-of-position capability and lessens clean-up time, while minimizing the risk of inclusions. It is used in single or multiple pass applications with CO2 and or argon/CO2 gas shielding. Wire comes packaged in a spool of 44 lb and is used in structural steel, general fabrication and heavy equipment.
