Reduce Adhesion and Stick PTFE Film Tape 5491 is a thicker version of our 5490 film tape that offers a high strength backing that resists curling when unwound from the roll. It lies flatter than typical skived PTFE film tapes and creates a more uniform non-skid surface. The thicker backing extends the useful life of the tape against abrasion and wear. We developed this tape as a quick and easy solution to reduce friction between moving surfaces. It serves as an anti-stick or easy-release medium between surfaces where pressure, temperature changes and other factors may create a measure of adhesion.
